Diagnostics, recovery and preventative programmes are moving into resorts and residences. The equipment is demanding, the discretion requirements are absolute, and the atmosphere has to remain hospitable.
Plan for two routes
The most useful early decision is separating the clinical route from the leisure route without making either feel like a back of house corridor.
- —Discreet arrival and separate waiting
- —Daylight in consultation and recovery rooms
- —Acoustic isolation rated properly, not assumed
- —Equipment routes planned before the structure is fixed
None of this is exotic. It is simply very difficult to add later.
