Kazbegi Longevity Retreat
A longevity destination set into an alpine shoulder, where diagnostics, recovery and altitude are read as one continuous programme.
The site sits at 1,740 metres, exposed on three sides, with a single sheltered fold running east to west. Rather than resist it, the plan occupies the fold: accommodation steps along the contour, and the clinical and thermal programme is buried into the slope behind it.
The result is a building that is almost invisible on approach and entirely open to the valley once inside. Guests move downward through the section as the day progresses, from arrival and diagnostics at the top to thermal recovery and rest at the base.
Dwell led the project from wellness strategy through to technical documentation, coordinating the longevity operator, the medical equipment supplier and the structural engineer from the first massing study onward.
